Grow your own house

The owners of this farm went organic and established a diversity of crops including annuals (garlic), tree crops (fruit, pecans), and private forestry (hardwoods, clumping bamboo). We assessed their existing timber on site for biodiversity value and timber quality and harvested the best quality timber for the least environmental impact. We then designed their farm extension based on the yield of timber size and quality. Timber was milled and air dried on site.

We also designed a new on site sewer system. It was integrated into a plantation of clumping bamboo with varieties chosen for high quality timber.
